Green Goddess Organics (GGO) specializes in fresh medicinal edible herbs cultivated in the unique
micro-climate of Monterey County. Many parts of California’s central coast enjoy a yearlong growing
season which allows GGO to provide consumers with fresh medicinal herbs at all times.
The natural enzymes only available when fresh-picked herbs are consumed are
Green Goddess Organics’ key ingredient for healthy living.
Born and raised in the Salinas Valley, David is a descendant of the original Coastanoan Indians that inhabited California’s central coast. Raised on a farm in north Monterey County, he learned at an early age everything about growing fruits and vegetables at his grandmother’s knee. A wise woman who was a product of the Great Depression, she taught David the only way she knew how to farm; without chemical pesticides or fertilizers. In the old days, herbs were a big part of medical treatment and pain relief so it was only natural they were also included in family farm cultivation. David has turned his attention to growing medicinal herbs that improve the quality of life for those suffering from nutritional deficiencies, pain and stress.
Green Goddess Organics was born in 2009 when Madeleine Clark decided her future was in farming. Before reaching this decision she had enjoyed a successful career in graphic communications. But her passion turned to growing organically sustainable field crops that support health and nutritional needs. With direction from her mentor and farming partner Stephen Wyrick, it wasn’t long before she focused on fresh medicinal edible herbs meant to be added to juices, smoothies and salads.
